I'm a scientist by day, an author at night, and a safety and self-defense expert all of the time. I've also been a world-traveler-in-training. I say traveler-in-training because I've never traveled further east than East Germany, so I have yet to see the Pacific countries.

I'm one of those odd people who loves public speaking and writing--although after years of trying to add literary worth to my research and science reports, I finally wised up and tried my hand at fiction. If the opinions of contest judges and reviewers are of any worth, then I think I may be good at it.

In my spare time (what's that?) I enjoy spending time with my family which consists of one spouse, one dog and two cats. Beware everyone! Four legged "children" can be demanding.

Anyway, that's a bit about me. I'll share more (and more details) as I get familiar with the community.
